Official: Amendments to make exceptions for windfall profit tax
MOSCOW, Jul 13 (PRIME) -- The lawmakers will prepare amendments to the bill on the windfall profit tax to introduce a handful of exceptions for Russian companies, Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Sazanov told reporters on Thursday.
“We will consider (the amendments) during the government meeting today … There will be some exceptions introduced,” Sazanov said.
The parliament’s lower chamber State Duma approved the bill in the first out of three required readings on June 28. The document envisages a one-time payment of the tax by the companies with a pretax profit of over 1 billion rubles in 2021–2022, except oil, gas and coal firms.
